Even before I became a wedding photographer, I put my money where my mouth is--we spent 1/3 of our budget on our photographer and 1/3 on our venue/decorations. (I also spent almost about 1/4 on my beautiful Lazaro gown, but we won't dwell on that fact. ;) Hire an awesome photographer; you will NEVER regret it! I wholeheartedly agree! When other couples have come to us to ask advice on planning their weddings, we always say spend money on a great photographer because that is really what you have for years to come.
