“Streamlining Your Workflow and Dealing with the Digital Data Glut”

With the switch to digital that has occurred in the last few years in the photography market, suddenly the photographer has been thrust into the role of IT Manager for their studio just to get the job done. For some this comes as second nature but for the vast majority, they just want to be the photographer.
Dealing with the data glut that we’re facing in this brave new world of digital imagery is a real concern and one that some take too lightly. In this presentation Jeff will address those concerns and how to protect yourself against failure, how to appropriately and affordably equip your studio with the hardware and training you need to protect your valuable images. His program will show you how to implement best practices for storing your photos, editing your work, and backing it up - all without getting too terribly technical.

Topics Covered:

  • Storage Solutions
  • Explaining RAID technologies
  • Interconnect technologies
  • What to avoid
  • Setting up a network – wired/wireless
  • Automating your office workflow with applescript
  • Best practices for working with your image
  • Instant access to your wedding archives, negating the need for DVD
  • Using Pictage as part of your backup solution
