Monica & Bryant’s Wedding

Monica & Bryant were married in Des Moines at Landmark Celebrations last Saturday!

These two chose a spectacular venue for their wedding! Landmark Celebrations is a historic turn of the century building set up on a hill in Des Moines where it was once an office and meeting space for the Masons. After this summer the whole building is being renovated and they will no longer be holding weddings here.

I arrived at 2 with my friend and fellow photographer Andy Shepard to check out the venue and catch up with the bride and groom as they started getting ready for their big day. Andy came along as my second shooter and it was a pleasure having him there! He got some great shots that I know Monica and Bryant are going to love.

We found Bryant in the lobby and I sent Andy off with him to capture the guys getting ready while I went in search of Monica upstairs. She was just getting her dress on and looked a bit nervous. The first shot in the slideshow was taken moments after I arrived. I had her sit down in a big wing backed chair next to a large open window. I love the natural light.
